LeadRemit follows a structured, compliance-first approach to payment enablement
Every engagement is designed to align business needs with regulatory requirements and partner bank policies.
Initial Engagement
At the onboarding stage, LeadRemit conducts an initial engagement to understand your business.
This includes:
- Review of your business model and services
- Understanding intended payment flows and transaction types
- Identification of jurisdictions involved (local and/or cross-border)
- Clarification of expected volumes and operational structure
This step allows LeadRemit to determine regulatory suitability and bank compatibility before progressing further.
Compliance Assessment
Following the initial review, a structured compliance and documentation assessment is conducted.
This includes:
- Know Your Business (KYB) documentation review
- Ownership and control structure assessment
- Website and customer-facing content compliance checks
- Review of regulatory permissibility under Nigerian payment regulations
- Risk classification based on business activity and transaction profile
Where required, additional documentation or clarifications may be requested to ensure full alignment with regulatory and banking expectations.
Bank Coordination & Integration
Once compliance requirements are satisfied, LeadRemit coordinates with approved Nigerian financial institutions to enable payment processing.
This phase may include:
- Submission of onboarding documentation to partner banks
- Alignment on approved transaction flows and settlement structures
- Configuration of payment routing and controls
- Confirmation of operational limits and monitoring requirements
All integrations are subject to bank approval and regulatory conditions.
Operational Go-Live & Monitoring
After bank approval and setup, payment operations are activated.
At this stage:
- Payment activity commences under approved parameters
- Transactions are monitored in line with compliance and risk frameworks
- Ongoing reporting and reviews are conducted where required
- Adjustments may be made based on performance, volume, or risk indicators
LeadRemit maintains continuous oversight to ensure operations remain compliant, secure, and aligned with regulatory standards.
Ongoing Relationship Management
Compliance does not end at go-live.
Approved businesses are subject to:
- Periodic compliance reviews
- Continuous transaction monitoring
- Reassessment where business models or volumes change
LeadRemit reserves the right to suspend or terminate services if regulatory, compliance, or risk concerns arise.
